The People’s Coalition on Food Sovereignty – Global is one with the Palestinian people in rejecting the normalization of Zionist Israel’s occupation and in condemning its escalating violence against them.

On this year’s #PalestineLandDay, March 30, we highlight the fascist attacks that continue to displace Palestinians and facilitate the takeover of their land. We slam the violative expansion of Zionist settlements on the land that is named Palestine. The past year alone saw 17,000 settlement units that annexed sections of the West Bank.

Different schemes are employed to seize control over the Palestinian land and resources, on top of the upfront harassment and bombings of Palestinian communities. These include the restriction of access to water and farmlands and the uprooting of tens of thousands of crops, causing widespread starvation among the Palestinian people—a definite war crime.

We condemn the Israeli government and its gall to twist the narrative of its oppression, terror-tagging six reputable and pioneer Palestinian organizations. The aggression against the Palestinian people has also escalated with the violent suppression of Palestinian protests in East Jerusalem last year and the shoot-to-kill treatment of all Palestinians involved in individual attacks.

Israel may try to erase the Palestinian names of the places and even the Palestinian communities standing ground over the disputed land, but it will never be able to erase the Palestinian resistance and their right to return. No matter the perversion, the land rightfully belongs to the Palestinians, and PCFS stands by this fact. To those who resist their return, the name is #Palestine.
