The People’s Coalition on Food Sovereignty (PCFS) denounces the Israeli government once again for its airstrike on the Gaza Strip in the first week of August. The three-day bombing operation with the moniker “Truthful Dawn” murdered at least 44 Palestinians including 15 children, and hundreds more were hurt.

We slam US President Joe Biden who expressed support for the Israeli government’s action, which attests to how the US clearly fosters Israel’s illegal occupation and inhumane atrocities against the Palestinian people.

This latest barbaric offensive is yet another breach of international humanitarian law, proving the urgency and necessity of the continuing investigations by the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) and the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and in holding Zionist Israel and its imperialist backer accountable. PCFS supports the reports issued by the UN Commission of Inquiry on Palestine and the UN special rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, which affirmed and called out Israel’s war crimes.

In addition, the Zionists should be held accountable for intentionally and brutally targeting the Palestinian people’s water, food, and agricultural resources in the Palestinian territories, especially in Gaza.

The Coalition upholds its support for the struggle of the Palestinian people for freedom and just peace. We are one with the international community in the call to chastise both Israel and US for uprooting the Palestinians from their homeland and killing countless of its people throughout the 55-year occupation.
